FAQ & help
Questions, answered in writing.
What is a telehealth consultation?
A standard GP consultation held over secure video instead of in a consulting room. You'll be assessed the same way — a detailed and careful history leads to more precise diagnoses and treatment — and everything important is put in writing for you.
What can be treated over telehealth?
Most general practice concerns: mental health, skin conditions, respiratory illnesses, repeat prescriptions, medical certificates, referrals, and the review of test results, among others. Assessments draw on a database of 600+ general practice conditions. Some presentations do need a physical examination — if that's the case, you'll be advised to see a GP in person.
Is this service for emergencies?
No. This service is not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger or needs urgent help, call 000 immediately.
How do prescriptions work?
Scripts are sent electronically during your consultation — an e-script token arrives by SMS or email, and any pharmacy in Australia can dispense from it.
How do referrals, pathology and imaging requests work?
Request forms, referrals and test results are shared with you digitally during the consultation, so you leave with everything you need.
Will I get a Medicare rebate?
Eligible patients receive a Medicare rebate for telehealth consultations, processed after the consult. The current rebate for each consult length is shown on the pricing page — the out-of-pocket difference is what the consult effectively costs you.
What do I need for a video consult?
A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, microphone and an internet connection. No apps to install — you'll receive a link before your appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens — you can cancel or reschedule your appointment. A late-cancellation fee applies for cancellations at short notice; the details are set out in the terms of service.
What is the management plan I receive?
Nobody can remember everything the doctor says. After your consult you receive personally written instructions and treatment plans to keep, so you can make better decisions about your care.
