Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the telehealth general practice of Dr Jonathan Wee at drjonathanwee.com, operated from Suite No 64, Level 23, Collins Square, Tower Five, 727 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3008. By booking or attending a consultation you agree to these terms.

The service provides video telehealth consultations with a general practitioner, including (where clinically appropriate) electronic prescriptions, referrals, pathology and imaging request forms, medical certificates and written management plans. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

This service is not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or any other emergency, call 000 immediately or go to your nearest emergency department. See also the disclaimer.

Telehealth is suitable for many, but not all, presentations. Some conditions require a physical examination or in-person testing. Dr Wee will tell you during (or before) a consultation if your concern cannot be safely managed by telehealth, and will direct you to appropriate in-person care. A consultation conducted in good faith that results in a referral to in-person care is still a consultation for billing purposes.

Prescribing is at the treating doctor's clinical discretion. Some medicines (including certain controlled drugs) cannot be prescribed via telehealth or on a first consultation.

Consultations are booked and paid for online. The price of each consult length is displayed on the pricing page at the time of booking and is charged in full when you book. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.

Eligible patients receive a Medicare rebate after the consultation. The rebate amounts for each consult length are shown on the pricing page.

• You may cancel or reschedule your appointment through the details in your confirmation, or by contacting the office.
• A late-cancellation fee of $20.00 applies to cancellations made at short notice before the scheduled start time, and is deducted from your refund.
• If you do not attend your appointment without cancelling (a no-show), the consultation fee may be retained.
• If Dr Wee must cancel your appointment, you will be offered the next available time or a full refund — your choice.

• Provide accurate identity, contact and Medicare details.
• Give a truthful and complete account of your symptoms and history — safe care depends on it.
• Attend from a private, quiet place in Australia with an adequate internet connection.
• Keep your booking and account communications (email/SMS) secure.

Your personal and health information is handled in accordance with our privacy policy, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Health data is stored in Australia (Sydney region).

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or limits Dr Wee's professional obligations under Ahpra registration and the Medical Board of Australia's codes. We may decline to provide, or discontinue, a service where it would be unsafe or clinically inappropriate, or where a patient is abusive toward staff.
